A short break is just what you need between summer and Christmas, or even after all the end of year festivities are over. You’ll return home exercised but not exhausted, and mentally refreshed.
Under the informative guidance and watchful eye of one of our fully qualified walking team, explore the varied and picturesque terrain in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. The base in the picturesque village of Callander, sitting between the Highlands and Lowlands, provides easy access to a variety of terrain through forests and woodland, along rivers and loch sides and into hill corries. Kicking up leaves, following footprints in snow, listening to the quiet of the countryside, sneaking up on wildlife - all just magic!
Depending on the weather, choose Nordic Walking, Snow Shoeing, plain ordinary Walking, try all three, or stick to one. Be looked after in a comfy, friendly guest house at the end of the day, on a bed and breakfast basis.
If you’d like alternative accommodation or a longer stay please contact us.
You can either travel direct to the accommodation in Callander and your guide will meet you there. Alternatively transport can be provided from Stirling train station in the late afternoon or early evening (whenever suits you).
Either head off in your own transport at the end of the last day’s activity, or get taken back to Stirling, arriving in the late afternoon or early evening.
Out of Season Scottish Ways
If you like to explore the countryside when it's quieter, then doing so out of season is the way; that adds to the adventure and also to the challenge. Between mid October and Easter you can have the ways and trails pretty much to yourself – they're absolutely great then! Contact us on +44(0)1786 445 703 for more details.
