Our Snow Shoeing Taster is a half day course introducing the basics of normal technique, awareness of when to use the heel lift, knowing when to change to crampons, how to make life simpler…amongst other tips and advice.
If you want to check snow coverage before booking, give us a call. Most likely, easily reached, cover will be between January and March or April.
Snow update as of 21st January - none within reasonable distance.
The use of snow shoes and walking poles is included in the cost. It is essential that you provide us with your weight (wearing outdoor gear and carrying a day sack) and boot size at the earliest opportunity.
If you are short of any other items, it may be possible to hire from us. See the equipment hire form included with your booking confirmation for details. If you need to hire boots we would recommend sending the form to us with your payment as soon as possible as only a limited number of each size are available and there is often a high demand for 4 season boots.
