The colour of the sea, the slight peaty scent to the air, the welcoming nature of the people and the place itself, all make the 'wee stroll' from Vatersay to Berneray magical introduction to the Outer Hebrides. The 144km miles walk from Vatersay, across Barra, South Uist, Benbecula, Grimsay and North Uist, to Berneray provides a never to be forgotten experience; scenery, wildlife, flowers, archaeology and history meld together to provide a just brilliant week of wandering.
