Paramo's award winning range of waterproofs use the Nikwax Waterproof fabric system.

Paramo's approach to staying warm and dry in the outdoors is inspired by nature. In the same way that seals, otters and bears remain warm and comfortable in extreme conditions, Paramo Directional Waterproof garments mimic the action of animal fur and push liquid outwards.

Paramo use absolutely no membranes or coatings on their fabrics; instead they are full of holes that let air and moisture pass through allowing greater efficiency in removing excess moisture vapour and condensation. Paramo's ability to recover rapidly means it doesn't stop pumping the liquid out, even when static. The combination of fabric structures and water-repellency means it carries on working, even as the body cools and is not dependent on temperature differential to keep you warm and dry.

What's directional?

The pump liner directs liquid water away from you whilst protecting your insulation.
It's combined with a tough microfibre outer and then treated with Nikwax renewable water-repellency.
The result is that Paramo will keep you drier, warmer and more comfortable than any other brand we know!
