Rob Roy Way
Grade:
-
(Grade explanation)
Having many associations with Rob Roy MacGregor, portrayed as Scotland’s Robin Hood character of the late 17th / early 18th centuries, this Way is one of ever changing variety along its 79 miles length between Drymen and Pitlochry. It cuts across the eastern side of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, heads up along Loch Tay, overlooks the Falls or Acharn and Moness, before weaving a route down Strath Tay and over to the finish in Strath Tummel.
The Rob Roy Way uses minor roads, tracks and paths along the route. Doing it over 7 walking days makes it both do-able and enjoyable for the majority.
