Guided Trans Trossachs Trail walking holiday New

Trans Trossachs Trail walking holiday

This interesting, varied journey weaves a way from the fringes of Scotland’s first national park, through the very heart of it, to the shores of the UK’s longest and arguably finest loch.

Included in the journey is a sail down the length of Loch Katrine, made famous by Walter Scott. The history of the area is fascinating and the colours, flora and scenery always varied. You’ll follow in the footsteps of Rob Roy, Queen Victoria, the Wordsworths and Walter Scott, at a pace that gives you time to look about you, photograph and absorb the surroundings.

After our stroll we head to our accommodation in Callander.

Day 2: Continue over the pass and down Glen Ogle along the old West Highland line and along the cycleway towards Kingshouse. After a wee break there, continue on up through the forest or along the valley as far as Strathyre. (12-15km> / 220-335m^).

Day 3: Today’s journey continues south along the shores of Loch Lubnaig, past the Falls of Leny to Callander (14½km> / 175m^).

Day 6: And finally we complete our journey to Loch Lomond , emerging at Inversnaid, after crossing the dramatic Snaid Burn falls. (9km> / 165m^). After a wee celebration locally, we return to Stirling to arrive there before 17:00.
